AM After breakfast W. and I take the bus to Georgia Street to the car rental. We get a Ford Taurus (huge car!) where we can easily fit in all the luggage. Round 10 a.m. we leave in the direction of Whistler. We have not foreseen the traffic jam, due to the enormous road constructions, all preparations for Vancouver 2010 Olympics!
We make a short stop at Shannon Falls, and have coffee in Squamish and travel further to have lunch at the Nairn falls.
In Cache Creek a sanitary stop and ice cream, and than off to Kamploops where we arrive 7 p.m. at Scott’s Inn. We stay in room 36 with patio and have dinner in Victoria Street at Boston Pizza. Back in the Inn round 10 pm.
Na het ontbijt met W. met de bus naar Georgia Street waar we de huurauto gaan ophalen. Een mega Ford Taurus, waarin we met gemak alle bagage kwijt kunnen. We vertrekken rond 10 uur richting Whistler. De tocht daarheen gaat traag, wegens de enorme wegwerkzaamheden voor de Vancouver Olympics in 2010. We stoppen bij de Shannon Falls, drinken koffie vlak voor Squamish en lunchen bij de Nairn Falls.
In Cache Creek een sanitaire stop en een ijsje en dan door naar Kamloops waar we tegen 19:00 aankomen bij Scott’s Inn. We betrekken kamer 36 (met patio) en gaan in Victoria Street eten bij Boston Pizza. Tegen 22:00 uur zijn we terug in de Inn en gaan naar bed.
