J. Vakantie 2017 is vakantie in eigen land. In de Achterhoek, het coulissenlandschap dat nooit verveelt. We strijken dit jaar neer in Silvolde, waar we een huisje huren op ‘t Meyböske.
Tommie en Lotje mogen dit jaar mee op vakantie: ze miauwen twee uur lang in hun mandjes, maar zijn snel gewend op hun tijdelijke onderkomen.
De voorspellingen voor het weer zijn niet optimaal: wisselvallig, met felle buien, en zonnige momenten. Dat maakt het plannen van een fietstocht wat lastiger, dus maken we vandaag een tochtje met de auto: via de landweggetjes richting Dinxperlo, of de grens met Duitsland, waar we lunchen, en dan door richting Ruurlo, en via Zelhem, en een koffiestop bij het Koetshuis van de Heerlijckheid Slangenburgh.
De foto’s van de eerste dagen zijn vooral geinspireerd door de wolkenluchten, die steeds veranderen van dreigend donkergrijs tot typisch Hollands.
This summer holidays we are staying close to home. In the Achterhoek, the ever changing landscape, that never bores. We have settled in Silvolde, where we are renting a holiday home on ‘t Meyböske.
Tommie and Lotje are joining us this holiday: they were meowing for only two hours in their baskets, but quickly felt at home upon arrival.
The weather predictions are far from optimal: the first couple of days, lots of showers and sunny spells. This makes it somewhat difficult to plan cycling trips, so today we did some sightseeing by car: through the many country roads we drive towards Dinxperlo, on the border of the Netherlands and Germany, where we have a nice lunch. After lunch onwards to Ruurlo, and Zelhem, and slowly back towards our temporary home, but not after a stop at the Koetshuis van de Heerlijckheid Slangenburgh.
