AM At breakfast, S., W. and N. make an appointment for a horseback riding tour with Mary, one our hosts in the Old Entrance. During the morning we make a trip to the Hinton to buy some jeans, and other stuff. N checks Blackboard and is very happy to announce that she has passed her test for stomach/intestines/liver! She has officially obtained her “P”! Messages are sent by iPod.
Bij het ontbijt maken S., W. en N. een afspraak om ’s middags te gaan paardrijden met Mary een van de beheerders van the Old Entrance. ’s Morgens even naar Hinton om wat spijkerbroeken te kopen. Vandaag checkt N. Blackboard: tot haar (en onze!) grote vreugde heeft ze ook de her voor maag-darm-lever gehaald! Nu heeft ze dus haar “P”. Mailtjes naar diversen via de iPod.
After lunch it is time to meet with the horses – Rocky, Babe and Blaze are saddled (western saddles) and waiting. Instructions are being given ‘how to steer a horse’ and then it is off to the bush and ‘mountains’.
Na de lunch dus paardrijden. Rocky, Babe en Blaze staan gezadeld (western zadels) klaar, iedereen krijgt instructies hoe het paard aan te sturen en dan gaan ze de bossen/bergen in.
Later, S. and W. drive up to the Brule Mines (not very interesting on second thought). We play another round of Boonanza and Macchiavelli and prepare the BBQ. So easy – gas burner, instantly hot! In the evening a bit of reading and a TV show.
Na terugkomst gaan S. en W. nog even een ritje maken naar de Brule Mines (wat niet veel voor stelt bij nader inzien). We spelen nog wat Boonanza en Macchiavelli en gaan dan de BBQ aanmaken. Lekker makkelijk, gasflesje en instant warm. ’s Avonds lekker lezen en TV kijken.
