AM After a day souvenir shopping, relaxing and packing our suitcases, our stay comes to a close. But not without a visit to a Zoo! In Featherdale Wildlife Park we meet all the animals that are so characteristic for Australia: kangaroo, wombat, kookaburra, cockatoo, cassowary, reptiles, and of course Blinky Bill – the koala. A few final souvenirs are added to the suitcases and our next stop is the airport. Since we have to be at the airport round 8 a.m. tomorrow, we have booked a room in a typical airport hotel. The one where they don’ t bother that you’re a guest, the chance that you return is very low….and so is the service. Oh well, we don’t care, we have had a wonderful trip, with memorable moments and great memories to share!
Na een dagje souvenir jagen, ontspannen en de koffers pakken, komt onze vakantie tot een einde. Maar niet zonder een bezoekje aan de dierentuin! in Featherdale Wildlife Park zien we al de dieren die zo typerend zijn voor Australie: kangaroe, wombat, kookaburra (spotvogel), kaketoe, cassowari, reptielen en natuurlijk Blinky Bill, de koala beer. Nog een paar laatste souvenirs worden toegevoegd aan de bagage en dan gaan we richting vliegveld. Omdat we voor onze terugvlucht al rond 8 uur ‘s morgens op de luchthaven moeten zijn, hebben we voor de laatste nacht een kamer in een luchthavenhotel geboekt. Typisch zo’n plaats waar het ze niet interesseert dat je er bent, de kans dat je er ooit terugkomt is minimaal, en zo is de service. Nou ja, wij hebben een fantastische reis gehad, mooie herinneringen gemaakt, en dat pakt niemand ons af!
